Golden Lion Electric Vehicle Recalls Golden Lion Brand (TDR038Z-471) Electric Vehicles

Based on the market purchase and inspection clues, and on the basis of risk assessment, Jiangsu Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau requested Jiangsu High-Tech Golden Lion Vehicle Industry Co. to carry out a defect investigation on the Golden Lion brand (TDR038Z-471) electric bicycles produced by it. Recently, Jiangsu Gaoxin Golden Lion Vehicle Industry Co. Ltd. filed a recall plan with Jiangsu Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, deciding to recall the Golden Lion brand (TDR038Z-471) electric bicycles produced from January 2012 to July 2016 from 5 July 2018 to 5 December 2018, and the number of affected products is 400 units.

Recently, Jiangsu High-Tech Golden Lion Vehicle Industry Co Ltd filed a recall plan with Jiangsu Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, deciding to recall the Golden Lion brand (TDR038Z-471) electric bicycles produced from January 2012 to July 2016 from 5 July 2018 to 5 December 2018, and the number of affected products is 400 units.

Reason for recall:

The electric bicycles involved in this recall have the following defects:

1, the maximum speed exceeds the national standard regulations, when the e-bike is travelling fast, if an unexpected situation occurs, the rider does not have sufficient time to react, which may easily cause the vehicle to go out of control, resulting in personal injuries to the rider or traffic participants;

2, the braking performance item test results do not meet the national standard requirements, the rider such as emergency braking, because of the long braking distance, resulting in injuries;

3、The power circuit is missing a short-circuit insurance device. If the wire is broken or the electrical load is too large, the electric circuit of the e-bike will generate abnormal current, and the absence of a short-circuit safety device will cause a large amount of heat energy to accumulate in the local wires, which will lead to spontaneous combustion of the product.

Recall Measures

Jiangsu Gaoxin Golden Lion Vehicle Industry Co., Ltd. will publish the recall information in the shop floor of the distributor's shop. Consumers are kindly requested to stop using the products within the recall immediately and contact the dealers for free repairs. All costs incurred by consumers due to this recall will be borne by Jiangsu Gaoxin Golden Lion Vehicle Industry Co.
